Prize Details Win prizes upto 25k rupees for each successful library development
Eligiblity

1. No Entry Fee.

2. You can participate ONLY on an individual basis and NOT as a team/community/ organization.

3. Since Huawei is sponsoring the prize, employees of Huawei and their respective immediate family members and persons living in their same household, are not eligible to participate in the contest.

4. There is no limit to the entries per person, he/she can submit as many entries as possible within the contest timelines.


How to Participate

1. It is easy! You just need to adapt an existing open source application library for the latest open source All Scenario, All Device OS – Harmony OS.
HarmonyOS is a new-microkernel based, distributed and Open Source operating system developed by Huawei which is designed to work with wide range of device including mobile phones, tablets, wearables, smart TVs, etc.

2. Any entries received before the opening or after the closing of the competition will be considered as invalid entries and will not be considered for the evaluation.

3. Those who are passionate about open source and keen to participate, please click "I Agree" option provided below and also fill the details and submit. By filling these details, we assumed that you have accepted all terms and conditions.

4. Once we receive your details, our team will guide you on the further steps.


Prizes

1. All prizes are strictly not transferable, assignable, exchangeable or redeemable by the participant in any form or manner other than that is specified by the Organizer/Sponsor.

2. In case of cash prizes, the winners shall be the sole responsible for all aspects related to banking charges, tax payments etc.


Contest Timelines

1. The contest shall begin to accept the entries as well as close as per the timeline specified on the organizer’s website and/or social media channels.

2. Any entries received before the opening or after the closing of the competition will be considered as invalid entries and will not be considered for the evaluation.


Publicity/ Promotions

Except where prohibited, by participating in the contest, the participant consents to the use of his/her name, photo etc. for promotional purposes, including without limitation, inclusion in the Organizer/Sponsor’s newsletters any of the Organizer/Sponsor’s social media accounts or outlets without additional compensation.


Ownership of Entries

1. Participant represents and warrants that the entry does not violate any agreement or obligation to any invention assignment, proprietary information, confidentiality, non-solicitation, noncompetition or similar agreement with any employer or other person.

2. Participant represents and warrants that the Entry is and will be Participant’s own original work and does not and will not infringe the intellectual property or proprietary rights of any third party, including, without limitation, any third party patents, copyrights or trademarks.

3. Participant hereby agrees not to instigate, support, maintain or authorize any action, claim or lawsuit against the Organizer/Sponsor, or any other person, on the grounds that any use of a Participant’s Entry, infringes any of Participant’s rights as creator of the Entry, including, without limitation, trademark rights, copyrights and moral rights.

4. Participant hereby assigns and transfers and agrees to assign and transfer to Organizer/Sponsor all right, title, and interest in and to Participant’s Entry and consequently Organizer/Sponsor will have all rights to copy, edit, publicly display, publicly perform, broadcast, publish and use, in whole or in part, any Entry, in any manner without further compensation during and after the contest.

5. At Organizer/Sponsor’s request and expense, Participant will assist and cooperate in all respects to execute documents, and will take such further acts reasonably requested by Organizer/Sponsor to enable Organizer/Sponsor to acquire, transfer, maintain, perfect and enforce their intellectual property rights and other legal protections for the Entry.

6. Nothing herein shall constitute an employment, joint venture, or partnership relationship between Participant and Organizer/Sponsor. Participants will not receive any compensation from Organizer/Sponsor in connection with any Entries.

7. Each Participant acknowledges and agrees that Organizer/Sponsor or other Participants or third parties may have developed or commissioned works which are similar to the Entry of Participant, or may develop something similar in the future, and each Participant waives any claims that Participant may have resulting from any similarities to the Entry of Participant.


General

1. The contest is subject to national, state, and local laws and regulations.

2. Participation in the contest implies Participant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). The term “you” refers to you, the “Participant”.

3. Organizer/Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, modify or suspend the contest in whole or in part, in the event of fraud, technical or other difficulties or if the integrity of the contest is compromised, without liability to the participants. Organizer/Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any participant / entry in its sole discretion.

4. The contest is offered by the Organizer/Sponsor, who is not responsible for (i) late, lost, damaged, incomplete, or misdirected entries, responses, or other correspondence (ii) theft, destruction, unauthorized access to or alterations of Entries; or (iii) phone, electrical, network, computer, hardware, software program or transmission malfunctions, failures or difficulties.



DISCLAIMER: IN NO EVENT, WILL ORGANZIER/SPONSOR BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY DIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOSS OF USE, DATA, BUSINESS OR PROFITS) ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST, WHETHER SUCH LIABILITY ARISES FROM ANY CLAIM BASED UPON CONTRACT, WARRANTY, STRICT LIABILITY OR OTHERWISE, AND WHETHER OR NOT ORGANIZER/SPONSOR HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH LOSS OR DAMAGE
